SHOW NOTES
Libby Rankin from Platters With Purpose shares the heartfelt story of her daughter Maddy and her fight with pediatric cancer. Though Maddy is forever 12, her legacy lives on through charcuterie boards and beautiful food art created by Libby.
The purpose behind the business is more than just beautiful food. When Libby had the idea for this business honoring Maddy, she knew it came with a bigger purpose. Profits from PWP are donated to fund pediatric cancer research which only accounts for 4% of federal funding. Maddy always believed there would be a cure for her cancer. It just didn’t happen in time to save her. Libby’s hope is that no other family has to feel the gaping hole in their heart like she did when they watch their child take their last breath.
Libby loved to cook with Maddy and try new recipes. Though Maddy isn’t with her today, Libby loves to carry on the “snack plate” idea and feel the connection to her daughter who would be so proud and absolutely love this business.
